This summer (2005) I was able to participate in a Summer Research Internship at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. My reasearch project was "The Molecular and Biochemical Characterizatons of the Maize bk2 and bk3 Cell Wall Mutations". Since then, I have presented my project at Wisconsin University in Madison, WS. I have been judged on my project at the Annual HBCU- UP conference which was hosted by Bowie State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Saturday, March 25, 2006 I will be presented my project at the Annual Beta Kappa Xi (BKX) Conference at Alabama State University.
